Tokyo, Japan 2019
Sensoji Temple, Asakusa, Tokyo - 2019
Late last year I was blessed enough to have the ability to visit Japan for a second time on personal travel with the Buya Boys. This time around the destination was Tokyo, Japan for about five days.
Five days was a good amount to be able to explore the inner metro of Tokyo. Equipped with IC cards we got around quite well. Staying in Shinjuku put us within reasonable reach of Shibuya, Keonji, Akihabara, and the downtown area of Tokyo. I never got adjusted to the 14 hour time change in Japan so I had plenty of time to explore and shoot with the homies.
Quick highlights:
The Gundam statue is a sight to see.
Japanese french toast is elite.
The JR transit system is superior to the U.S. subway systems.
Tokyo is more lively and congested than Osaka but still very clean.
ANIME and ARCADE heaven.
Go-Go’s Curry is the best meal I had.
Bring your YEN.
Now onto the video and photos. I endured rain on most of these and couldn’t be happier with what I produced. Most are taken with my Leica M6. Digital photos and the video were with my Sony A7III (no stabilizer). My goal this trip was to immerse myself as much as I could into Japanese culture and bring home what I on film and my SD card.
If you’re still here… ARIGATOOOO.
